AADR Meeting Details

The 43rd Annual Meeting of the American Association for Dental Research took place March 19-22, 2014, in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. This meeting was held in conjunction with the 38th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research.

AADR/CADR Annual Meeting Provides Value to Clinicians and Members of the National Dental PBRN

The National Dental Practice-Based Research Network (National Dental PBRN) applauds dentists in full-time clinical practice who attended the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting & Exhibition. AADR member George Ford, who serves on the executive committee of the National Dental PBRN attended the Annual Meeting due to his continued engagement in the research process and dedication to excellence in patient care. Other National Dental PBRN members were also in attendance.

Timothy DeRouen is Installed as 43rd AADR President
Timothy DeRouen was installed as AADR’s 43rd president at the closing ceremonies of the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting. There, he gave his inaugural address, which may be read in an upcoming issue of the Journal of Dental Research
2014 Awards, Fellowships and Grants Recipients

AADR is able to support research initiatives and travel to the AADR Annual Meeting through numerous awards and fellowships. The following awards and fellowships were announced during the 2014 AADR Annual Meeting: 

AADR National Student Research Group

At the recent AADR/CADR Annual Meeting, the AADR National Student Research Group (NSRG) provided valuable opportunities for students to network with other researchers and learn more about IADR/AADR. 

AADR Honors JDR Associate Editor Marty Taubman

During the Journal of Dental Research Reviewer Reception, JDR Associate Editor Martin “Marty” Taubman was recognized for his contributions as editor of the JDR “Discovery!” section from 2005-2013

Council Highlights
Council approved the following slate of nominees to stand for election as AADR Vice President (2014-2015): 
• Paul Dechow, Texas A&M University
• Raul Garcia, Boston University
• Sharon Gordon, East Carolina University
Call for Nominations

Any AADR member may nominate individuals for AADR Vice-president, AADR Treasurer or AADR Representative to the IADR/AADR Publications Committee. Names of potential candidates must be received by August 4, 2014.

2015 IADR/AADR/CADR General Session & Exhibition Save the Date


The 44th Annual Meeting of the AADR will be held in conjunction with the 93rd General Session & Exhibition of the IADR and the 39th Annual Meeting of the CADR. It will take place March 11-14, 2015, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
