JDR Clinical & Translational Research has Launched – Read the Online Issue

The International and American Associations for Dental Research (IADR/AADR) have released the inaugural issue of JDR Clinical & Translational Research, which is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing original dental, oral and craniofacial research at the interface between discovery science and clinical application. Under the editorship of Jocelyne Feine, McGill University Faculty of Dentistry, Montréal, QC, Canada, this new publication emphasizes translation of research into healthcare delivery systems at the individual patient, clinical practice, and community levels. Donate for Research

Dental research created a profession. In the early decades of the last century, investments in dental research moved a trade to a profession. From the fluoridation of public water supplies – a crowning public health achievement of the 20th Century – to high-speed handpieces, dental composites and ceramic restorations, periodontal diagnostics and therapeutics, and more biologic approaches to replacing lost tissues, it was the investments in dental research that defined us as a profession.

AADR and Friends of NIDCR Submit Written Testimony

Yesterday, AADR President Jack Ferracane submitted written testimony on behalf of AADR and the Friends of NIDCR urging Congress to provide at least $34.5 billion for the National Institutes of Health and $452 million for the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in the fiscal year 2017 Labor, Health and Human Services and Education Appropriation bill.
