NJCCA Spreads Holiday Cheer

NJCCA Spreads Holiday Cheer

On Monday, December 15, 2008, a group of about forty NJCCA members and their families spent the evening at Balocco Restaurant in Clifton, New Jersey nibbling on food and spirits and networking with fellow members, while wrapping books.  The books were donated as holiday gifts to children that are living in four women's shelters in Morris Plains, Hazlet, Glassboro and Delran, New Jersey.  The evening was sponsored by Thompson Hinesanofi-aventis, Verizon Wireless, Haley Stuart, Update Legal and NJCCA. We also had the pleasure of listening to Debra Forman, a Certified Executive Coach from Pinstripe Coaching, who provided us with booklet with some tips on Engaging Your Talent: Tips for Success A to Z as we were wrapping books.

Each book was wrapped with bright wrapping paper, bows and gift tags with the hope of bring a smile to each child's face as they reached for their package.  Rebecca Brazzano of Thomson Hine (the force behind this event) commissioned the group to wrap these books with the understanding that this was likely to be the only gift that these children receive and that it should look beautiful.  Some folks were receiving on the job training to accomplish this task, while others were diligently working through their stacks of books in expert fashion curling ribbons and fastening bows.

Below is a collage of photos from the evening.
