Message from the President - Winter 2010
Keith Lundquist, FACHE

Happy Holidays to all Affiliates

I wish you happy holidays over the next few weeks and hope that you find a few moments (or days) to enjoy time with family and friends.  We all have much to be thankful for including the professional affiliations we share through ACHE of Central Florida.

We will soon be announcing the Board members and officers that will guide your organization during 2011.  New educational events are in the planning to provide you opportunities to mix with other members while learning about the latest in timely topics of interest to those of us who work and live in Central Florida.

You will read a recap elsewhere in the newsletter about last month's well-attended event hosted by Florida Hospital, "Health Information Exchange: Extending EHR Meaningful Use and Continuum of Care in Central Florida."  Those in attendance included a wide spectrum of industries along with many first-timers, some of whom have subsequently joined ACHE.

In spite of the challenging economy, our membership is on the upswing.

I wish you well during this upcoming year that will certainly be filled with new challenges, but ones we can collectively meet for the good of patients, members and clients that we serve.

Keith Lundquist, FACHE
President
ACHE of Central Florida
