Message from the President - Spring 2012
Janis Moysey

The healthcare profession today is experiencing many changes impacting our business, our careers and in many ways, our daily lives. It's important for every Chapter member to know that you have resources, educational opportunities and a network of colleagues in your Chapter and across ACHE.  Your  board has been hard at work planning out the year ahead to insure our Chapter will continue to deliver exceptional value to our membership for 2012 and beyond. Our focus will be to strengthen our goals:

1.       Programs for the Challenges of 2012

2.       Advancement and Membership Expanding Across Central Florida

3.       Volunteer Engagement

As you look to plan out the remainder of your year,  now is the perfect time to consider advancing to Fellow. ACHE is once again offering the Board of Governors Exam fee waiver promotion to ACHE Members who apply for the FACHE® credential between March 1 and June 30. Members must submit their completed Fellow application and $250 application fee during the promotion period. Pending application approval, ACHE will waive the $200 Board of Governors Exam fee. All follow-up materials (i.e., references) must be submitted by Aug. 31, 2012, to receive the waiver. For more information on the promotion, go to ache.org/FACHE.

We have several new names in our Chapter board this year. As the new incoming Chapter President, I want to personally thank Keith Lundquist, Past President and current Board member, for the outstanding years of leadership he brought to our Chapter.  I also want to thank Ken Peach for the years of dedication serving many roles on the Board, President and various Committee Chair. I'd also like to thank Sandra Randolph for her leadership on Board and Committees, in particular, as 2011 Membership Chair, Sandra lead our Chapter to receive a Chapter of Merit award. I will personally miss their leadership and contributions to the Chapter. Please take a few minutes to meet the new Board on our website and upcoming events. The new Chapter leaders are looking forward contributing their time and talents in service to our membership.

Thank you for all you do for our profession.

Sincerely,

Janis Moysey

2012 President
