|Earn Your Board Certification in Healthcare Management|
Become a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and earn the distinction of board certification in healthcare management!
Start the process by meeting the following application requirements. You must complete all application requirements including a $250 application fee in order to be eligible to sit for the Board of Governors Exam.
Are you ready to start your journey to be recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE)?
Step 1: Meet the eligibility requirements.
Step 2: Submit your advancement application. Upon approval, you will have two (2) years in which you must take and pass the Board of Governors Exam.
Step 3: Prepare for your Exam.
Step 4: Register for the Exam and pay the $200 Exam fee. Exam eligibility will be valid for the two year duration of the approved fellow application.
Be a current member of ACHE and have three (3) years of tenure. Tenure may be accumulated as an ACHE Member, Faculty Associate, or International Associate. (Student Associates are not eligible for tenure).
Hold a Master's or other post-baccalaureate degree. (A copy of your diploma or final conferred transcript is required.)
Hold an executive-level healthcare management position and have a minimum of five (5) years of executive-level healthcare management experience. (A copy of your current job description, organizational chart, and resume is required.) How does ACHE define an executive-level healthcare management position?
Submit two (2) references: One (1) in the form of a structured interview with a current Fellow; One (1) written reference from a senior-level executive (VP or higher) in your organization OR a second Fellow.
Demonstrate 36 hours of healthcare-related continuing education (CE) within the last three (3) years of submitting an application. (12 hours must be ACHE Face-to-Face Education and the remaining 24 hours can be ACHE Qualified Education or ACHE Face-to-Face Education).
Participation in two (2) healthcare-related activities and two (2) community/civic activities during the past three (3) year period.
