Aloha Members,

It seems like the year is flying by! We had a great joint educational session in April with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), allowing our members to receive 1.5 Face-to-Face credits. Please check out educational sessions coming up in July and September. Our board and educations committee is working diligently on bringing programs to Hawai‘i and Guam to allow you to achieve and maintain your fellowship credential.

We have a few other activities going on that I would like to share:

• First, we made a leadership change, last month, Darlena Chadwick has accepted the position of president-elect, unfortunately, Jay Kreuzer, FACHE, had to step down from that role, we appreciate his support during the first few months of the year. 
• We were selected by our national association to participate in a pilot leadership development project and LTC Tanya Peacock, FACHE, has taken the lead from our board to head up this project. We will report more on this as we get under way.
• Darlena Chadwick, Jen Chahanovich, FACHE, and I are all working on a strategic sponsorship plan, that we hope will address our immediate needs but will sustain our chapter in to the future. If any of you have ideas or contacts that you think we should approach for sponsorship, please let us know.
• The board enjoyed meeting our membership that joined us for a mixer on May 22. We plan to offer more activities to give you, our members, the opportunity to get to know one another, as well as for networking.
