Obtaining your FACHE Credential
Micah Ewing

Now more than ever, the dynamic landscape of healthcare presents a challenge requiring strong and competent management. The ACHE supports this need by defining its mission to promote healthcare management excellence by member advancement. The Fellow (FACHE) program is the ultimate embodiment of this goal and affirms your commitment to excellence in healthcare leadership.

FACHE Core Requirements

·         Master’s or other post baccalaureate degree

·         Current healthcare management position and 5 years of healthcare management experience

·         3 years tenure as an ACHE Member

·         3 references from current Fellows (one of which must be a structured interview)

·         40 hours of continuing education – at least 12 of which are ACHE “Face-to-Face” education hours—earned during the 5 years preceding becoming a Fellow

·         Participation in 2 healthcare-related and 2 community/civic activities

·         Pass the Board of Governors Examination in Healthcare Management

Motivation is often as simple as taking the first step. The first step is to submit an application. You do not have to meet all of the above requirements to be eligible in submitting an application; however, you must apply in order to take the Board of Governors Exam.

Application Eligibility Requirements

·         Master’s or other post baccalaureate degree (submit copy of degree)

·         Current healthcare management position and atleast 2 years of healthcare management experience (submit organizational chart, job description, and resume)

·         3 references

·         $250 application fee (application is valid for 3 years)

You are challenged to attain this prestigious designation and support the mission of the ACHE. If you apply between now and June 30, the Board of Governors Exam fee of $200 is waived, which is significant savings!
