|Message from your ACHE Regent, Summer 2015|
Aloha – I am honored and excited to start my term as Regent for the Hawai‘i/Pacific region. I have been involved in the Chapter in various roles over the past 10 years to include Chapter President and have served on many committees. I have gotten to know many of the Chapter members over the years and I am looking forward to meeting all the new members. Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Regent for the next three years.
I would like to thank Coral Andrews for serving the past three years as our Regent. She did an outstanding job serving our Chapter. Mahalo for your leadership, Coral!
I attended the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Congress last March – the ACHE 2015 Overview video was showcased for the first time. The video provides an overview of the ACHE mission, values, programs, products and services. You can view the video on line at ACHE.org – I highly recommend this short video. If you were unable to attend Congress, ACHE does offer many other educational opportunities throughout the country in the form of clusters as well as self-study opportunities. I would also like to encourage our members to participate in the Chapter events for networking as well as for educational credits. For 2015, I have established a Regent Advisory Council (RAC) to help guide areas of focus to include education, diversity, and Chapter growth. The RAC members are:
• Kenneth D. Graham, FACHE
CEO of North Hawaii Community Hospital
• Jay E. Kreuzer, FACHE
CEO of Kona Community Hospital
• Martha Smith, FACHE
CEO of Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children
• Steve Robertson, FACHE
EVP & CIO for Hawaii Pacific Health
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns – I look forward to seeing everyone at our next Chapter event on July 13 at the Prince Hotel.
Jen Chahanovich, FACHE
