News from the Guam Local Program Chapter |
“Hafa Adai" from Guam!
It has been another busy quarter at Naval Hospital Guam with all the preparations for The Joint Commission and MedIG inspections. Over the course of a week, our hospital had the opportunity to highlight all the incredible things we do for our patients. While I am glad the inspections are behind us, we continue to improve and provide high quality care to our patients! If anyone has any questions about what the inspections are like, please feel free to reach out!
The Guam Local Program Chapter (GLPC) leadership is looking forward to our "invite-all" meeting in April as it is a great opportunity for Guam's healthcare leaders to connect and to be part of the ACHE community. This meeting will also welcome anyone aspiring to be a healthcare leader!
Our Treasurer, John Taitano, will act as our University of Guam liaison. The goal is to develop the position of student representative for college/university students and establish such a leadership role within the GLPC. Our vision moving forward is to provide and inform future healthcare leaders of opportunities they may not otherwise know about, whether it is local healthcare administration job postings, internships, fellowships, or volunteer experience. Finally, stay tuned for our new Facebook page with GLPC updates! Our aim is to link Guam's Healthcare Leadership community and build a strong network by means of our Facebook page.
