|Message from the Chapter President|
Dear members and fellows,
Let me be the first to congratulate you on your decision to change the name of our chapter to “ACHE of Nebraska & Western Iowa”. The new name will allow more recognition in association with the ACHE brand which is very recognized both in healthcare and non-healthcare fields.
As this newsletter is the last for me as president, I would like to reflect on some of the accomplishments that the chapter had in the year 2015.
We had a big emphasis on education and networking to ensure that our members stay up-to-date with the knowledge and skills they need. We also wanted to provide networking opportunities for our members and fellows. We achieved both by reinforcing and extending our collaborations with Nebraska Hospital Association, professional groups and other ACHE chapters.
Here is a list of the events we offered in 2015:
January 22, 2015 – Panel Discussion, Networking and Dinner Event “Career Positioning: Strategically Mapping Your Early Career Development” hosted by Bellevue University
March 16, 2015 - Networking event in Association with ACHE Congress at the Elephant and Castle in Association with ACHE Congress in Chicago
April 23, 2015 - Panel Discussion, Networking and Dinner Event “Ensuring Your Community's Emergency Preparedness” at Upstream restaurant in Omaha
May 22, 2015 - Panel Discussion and Networking Event in Association with NHA Mid-Year Event “Becoming Accountable: Achieving Success in Population Health Management” at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney
August 20, 2015 - Panel Discussion, Networking and Dinner Event “Leading Information Safety: Planning for Data Privacy” in collaboration with ACHE of Iowa, and hosted by Nebraska Orthopedic Hospital
October 21, 2015 – Education Event in Association with NHA Annual Meeting “Strategic Planning: From Formulation to Action” by Alan Zuckerman at Embassy Suites, LaVista
