Leadership Message

Message from the IHEF President

by David McFadyen, FACHE

I am excited to announce several new changes to our IHEF Board leadership. Brad Turpen is transitioning from the Education Committee Chair to the President-Elect position. Brad's term as President will start January 1, 2016. Brad has been instrumental in developing the Education Committee and we are excited Brad has agreed to help lead IHEF into the future. Ben Rogers is our new Education Committee Chair. Ben has been involved on the Education Committee for the past few years delivering great speakers and topics to our events. Please join me in congratulating Brad and Ben on their new roles and a big thank you for the work they do for our chapter.

This past week the Idaho Healthcare Executive Forum co-presented the annual June Idaho Hospital Association's mid-year meeting. Attendees enjoyed excellent panel discussions on a wide range of topics that included Patient Experience, Bending the Execution Curve, Population Health/ACO's, Idaho Medicaid redesign and a legal perspective on the ACA. A special thank you to the IHEF Education Committee for all their work to help bring these great topics for our members.

IHA has also agreed to further partner with IHEF at the upcoming October IHA annual meeting. The Education Committee is hard at work planning the education sessions. This is exciting news as we work to bring more education to Idaho.

IHEF President
