Message from the Regent

I enjoyed seeing many of you at the KAHCE networking meeting and educational program on November 11 in Wichita in conjunction with the KHA Annual Meeting and Convention. The newly elected KAHCE board will serve the chapter membership well in the coming year under the leadership of incoming President Frederick (Ron) Stephen, LFACHE. Ron and I both attended the Chapter Leaders Conference and Workshop October 19 and 20 in Chicago, which included the District leadership meetings as well. We have already discussed ways to apply some of the resources and ideas presented at that conference. As always, it was time well spent in the educational sessions, and networking with the many impressive leaders from around the country that make ACHE an effective professional association. Read More
KAHCE Awards Scholarships

KAHCE contracted with the Kansas Hospital Education and Research
Foundation to administer the scholarship program. Twenty-one
individuals applied for the three $500 hospital administration
scholarships. Congratulations to the three KAHCE awardees:
- Nicki Klein, from Hodgeman County Health Center, who is seeking a
Master Degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing at Phoenix
University.
- Alisa McFadden, from Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, who is
seeking a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administration from
the University of Oklahoma.
- Rachel Pepper, from the University of Kansas Hospital, who is
working on a Doctorate of Organizational Leadership, Nursing from the
University of Kansas School of Nursing.
