From the Desk of the KAHCE President
Roger A. Masse, FACHE

I hope that a number of you were in attendance at our last education program in Wichita held just prior to the Kansas Hospital Association Annual Convention. This event is one of two we plan to host annually that will provide face-to-face credits for advancement and re-certification with the American College of Healthcare Executives. For those of you in the Eastern part of the state, we team with the Kansas City group to provide a few more hours of opportunity.

Please know that our various committees are working diligently to comply with College policies and to provide timely programs for these sessions. We make every effort to hold down costs and to receive generous sponsorships to help defray those costs. Any suggested input for topics is appreciated.

One new area of focus by the College has been to provide us a list of past members in an effort where applicable, to re-engage and become active again in our chapter. Please encourage anyone you know to consider doing so.

As my term is near its end, it is on reflection been a most rewarding one. And most noteworthy are the commitments and the efforts of the Board, the Committees, and all members for the personal support and for their generous contribution of time. Thank you all for your help!

In November, the Board will convene to appoint new officers and to select some directors. Any of you can become active. If you would like to serve or are asked to serve on one of our many committees, please reach out and let us know. The opportunity to contribute and to network together can be very rewarding.
