Marion "Tony" Thompson, FACHE

This is the time of year when our vacation planning pays off. Take this time to sharpen the saw and prepare yourself for the second half. The national and state agenda will challenge us. If we prepare now, we’ll be physically and emotionally ready.

As we reach the midpoint in the year, it’s also worth reflecting on the opportunities we have as members of our association. Our KAHCE Spring Education Event and our ACHE Congress on Administration are annual opportunities for continuous learning, networking with new acquaintances, and to catch up with old friends. Don’t miss the opportunity to participate. If not for the fellowship, then do it for the “free” consulting advice. I always return from these sessions with new information. Look for details coming soon on our fall event on September 4 in conjunction with the KHA Annual meeting.

And I would be remiss if I failed to acknowledge and thank our Board of Directors. Your Board is composed of hard working folks, dedicated to our association and to YOU! When you see a Board Member or speak to them on the phone, say thanks. They will appreciate the recognition.
