Message from Your ACHE Regent
Message from Your ACHE Regent

Greetings Everyone,

On Saturday, March 25, 2017 I was introduced as the Regent for New Jersey – Northern at the American College of Healthcare Executives [ACHE] Council of Regents meeting in Chicago. It is with great pride and humility that I accept this role as your representative. I attended the New Regents Orientation, the Council of Regents meeting, the Annual Membership meeting and the ACHE Convocation during the March 24th weekend. It was inspiring to be among the men and women who are leading and managing our professional association.

Michael J. McDonough, DMH, FACHE
My first order of business is to thank Nancy M. DiLiegro, PhD, FACHE for her service as Regent for our district over the past three years. And, to congratulate her upon being elected to the ACHE Board of Governors for a new three year term.

Congratulations are also in order for Joanne Carrocino, FACHE who was elected to serve as Regent-at-Large for ACHE District One for the 2017-20 term.

I look forward to working with both Dr. Di Liegro and Ms. Carrocino over the next three years.

There were twelve men and women from New Jersey inducted as new Fellows at the ACHE’s Eighty-Third Convocation.

Please join me in congratulating each of these healthcare executives upon achieving a significant milestone in their careers. The new Fellows are as follows:

Dianne A. Aroh, FACHE, Old Tappan
Carol E. Ash, DO, FACHE, North Brunswick
Matthew T. Benjamin, FACHE, Jackson
Deborah Brown, DMD, FACHE, Paterson
Robert S. Goldberg, FACHE, Cherry Hill
Brian A. Hammer, FACHE, Barnegat
Nancy Hamstra, FACHE, West Caldwell
Mary Anne Healy-Rodriguez, PhD, RN, FACHE, Westfield
Bettyann Kempin, RN, FACHE, North Haledon
Vijayant Singh, MD, FACHE, Jersey City
Charles M. Walker, FACHE, Burlington
James R. Whalen, FACHE, Mullica Hill

The ACHE Convocation is a wonderful event recognizing the new Fellows. Congratulations to each of you on an outstanding achievement.

The ACHE – NJ chapter is in the good hands of President Ceu Cirne-Neves, FACHE, President-Elect Jeffrey Egnatovich and the members of the Board of Directors. I look forward to working with them to continue to advance the careers of our members and healthcare management excellence in New Jersey.

The Regent’s Advisory Council will continue its role as an advocate for the programs and activities of the New Jersey Chapter in conjunction with the goals and objectives of the ACHE.

For our membership, I hope to see you at the ACHE-NJ Annual Meeting on June 1, 2017 at the Johnson and Johnson world headquarters in New Brunswick, NJ and throughout the year at our various events. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance to you.

Thank you for your support and participation in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
