Message from the President
Dear Chapter Members,

We were pleased to start the autumn season again this year in Atlantic City with the ACHE education track at the EmCare 15th Annual 2017 Advanced Emergency and Acute Care Medicine Conference. This educational track offered 6 face-to-face credits for active ACHE members at no cost. EmCare (formerly EMA) has offered this exceptional education event for the past several years and has always had a great turnout.

In October ACHENJ will hold our annual strategic planning retreat at Caldwell University. This session will include all board members and committee chairs. The focus of this retreat is to give consideration to the organization’s overall strategy, explore how to best address membership requirements, and then to review and update the goals and objectives of the ACHENJ multiyear plan. The strategic planning committee facilitates the discussion and provides input data and information for a successful retreat; the committee then will make recommendations to the Board regarding key actions, key metrics and time horizons.

I am pleased to announce Robert Garrett, FACHE, Co-CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health, has agreed to be the keynote speaker for our annual meeting in June 2018. Prior to the Hackensack-Meridian merger, Mr. Garrett was the president of the Hackensack University Medical Center and is now Co-CEO of the new health network. Stay tuned for more information on the 2018 annual meeting.
