Message from Your ACHE Regent
Winter 2018

Greetings New Hampshire! Thank you for choosing me to represent New Hampshire as your Regent!  I have a passion for healthcare, leadership, and giving back.  This position allows me to meet all 3 of those passions! I look forward to meeting many of you and working with the Northern New England Association of Healthcare Executives in bringing quality face-to-face and qualified education, mentorship opportunities, and networking.

We all lead very busy lives, both professionally and personally.  I have learned that some of the biggest miss-steps in our world is the failure to execute.  I have learned some pearls of wisdom I would like to share:

  •  Get to know your people and business
  •  Be realistic!
  •  Set clear goals and priorities
  •  Follow through
  •  Reward the ‘doers’
  •  Expand people’s capabilities
  •  Know yourself

These pearls may be simple, but all too often forgotten.

ACHE’s annual Congress is fast approaching and I encourage you all to attend.  The educational and networking events are priceless.  The 2018 Congress on Healthcare Leadership, "Be Part of Something Bigger," will be held March 26–29 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Our local chapter, NNEAHE, has set the dates and times for our education days for 2018.  Each date will have 6 face-to-face credits at a very low cost.

So mark your calendars!

  • April 27, 2018: Grappone Center, Concord, NH.
  • Annual Meeting. November 1 & 2, 2018 at the Wentworth by the Sea, NH.

Hope to see you all soon!

Karen Clements, RN, FACHE
