President's Message: Summer Newsletter

We are at the halfway point of the year and we have already accomplished so much!

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing board members and volunteers, we have had several phenomenal programs, and there are many more planned for the remainder of the year. Our chapter provides excellent programs and networking opportunities, and I highly encourage you to attend as many of them as possible.

The programs this year have been very successful and have included opportunities for members at every level in their career. We had two very exciting CEO Talk and Tours at the new UCSD Jacobs Medical Center and the USS Essex Naval Ship. We had multiple programs which were very informative, including panel discussions that included topics such as, “Social Media - A Business Imperative to Drive Growth, Engagement and Brand,” “Lessons from A Patient Experience Story,” and “Healthcare Tomorrow: What Does the Future Hold?” We also had career development programs, which included our Mentoring Kick-off Event, Administrative Fellowship Panel, Board of Governors Exam Study Group, and our first-ever Career Development Summit, which highlighted all our career development offerings. Lastly, we had a few networking events and partnered with other local healthcare organizations for a couple of joint programs.

Some of our upcoming programs include our Joint Networking event in Dana Point on July 27 with our sister SoCal ACHE chapter, Healthcare Executives (HCE). We also have our Executive Program, which begins in August, and is an excellent way for our mid-level careerists to learn from local executives and their organizations. Our highly attended Annual Conference is on October 27 and will provide lively speakers and panel discussions on the topic, Innovate for Value. Please read the newsletter for more information and keep up-to-date with us on Facebook, LinkedIn and our website, sohl.ache.org

As a member, you have access to member rates for our quality programs. Please remember to renew your membership with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), if you have not done so already. Your dues include your membership with our chapter, as we are a local chapter of ACHE. It is easy to renew online at ache.org.

We would like to thank our wonderful sponsors for their contributions to our chapter. Without our sponsors, we would not be able to provide such quality programs and high level of support to our members.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly at NLynPrice@gmail.com, or to any of our board members. I look forward to seeing you at our next event in July!
