My Fellow ACHE Colleagues,
As the President of the Oklahoma Chapter of ACHE, it is always a pleasure to rub shoulders with local leaders and industry experts. It seems that we are all watching our state government these days as they wade through the various proposed bills and resolutions that will undoubtedly impact our bottom lines. If you are like me, I am certain your ear is to the rail as we listen to the rumblings of the incoming legislative and political trains. I’ll be the first to admit that it is difficult to estimate the size and speed of the trains. Nevertheless, we know it is on the way and will be arriving soon. The question we have to answer today is what are we doing to prepare for its arrival and how can we find the cell number of the conductor! One suggestion I might propose is to get involved in the Oklahoma Hospital Association Advocacy Day. This is a great opportunity to align our efforts as we advocate for healthcare in our great state.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS - APRIL 28, 2016
I am excited to announce that the Sooner Healthcare Executive Chapter has once again partnered with the Oklahoma Organization of Nurse Executives to sponsor our third annual Healthcare Executive Summit. This event will offer 6 hours of face-to-face credit and 1 hour of qualified education credit for only $175. Visit http://sooner.ache.org for event details and registration information.
