President's Message Spring 2021
Mary Anne Weidner, MHA, MT, (AMT/ASCP), HACP (CIHQ)

I can hardly believe the year is half way gone.  Comparing it to last year at this time, we have endured so many challenges, both in our professional and personal lives.  As I reflect back on the past six months I realize one has so much to be thankful for and so much to still do in looking towards the future.

In looking to the future I have seen a number of new members joining the chapter and hope that each of you, will visit our website as we continue to provide motivation, coaching and mentorship to you.  Borrowing a line from MG David Rubenstein, FACHE don’t spend a lot of time regretting and reconsidering the failure.  Once you learn from it, it’s time to move on.”  So, as we move forward we can take the lessons learned this past year and a half and bring more innovation to our chapter events, helping you succeed in your endeavors.  Some ideas that are of interest that your board members and I will be reviewing is instituting training for the board on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This is a critical topic in today’s healthcare.  On this topic, I encourage you so join STC-ACHE who will also be hosting a virtual event on July 23rd from 11am to 12pm.

Additionally, mentorship is very important and if you are seeking to either be a mentor or mentee, reach out to me or Kimberly Tansey, chapter VP, so that we can help facilitate this resource.  Further noteworthy information is the $225 Board of Governors Exam fee is waived March 1st to June 30, 2021.  New Fellows welcome coupon for $200 of a national F2F event, is valid for 1 year from the date of issue. One must be a Fellow between June 1st, 2021 and forward.

Concluding this brief note to you, I encourage each of you to get involved, and have a good weekend!

Mary Anne Weidner

President, STC-ACHE
