President's Message Summer 2021

Mary Anne Weidner, MHA, MT, (AMT/ASCP), HACP (CIHQ)

As I end my second year as President of the STC-ACHE, I notice that our Chapter, and the ACHE at large, has never been more relevant and important for those of us in healthcare and those related fields in Texas and across the nation and world.  I've come to think of the ACHE network as one very large, multi-national, best in class team.  A team that provides abundant opportunities to learn, teach, mentor, and share top quality information.  A team that enables us to advocate, brainstorm, give back to our communities, meet, network and socialize with friends and colleagues all over the country and world.

Dear Members and Colleagues,

As I end my second year as President of the STC-ACHE, I notice that our Chapter, and the ACHE at large, has never been more relevant and important for those of us in healthcare and those related fields in Texas and across the nation and world.  I've come to think of the ACHE network as one very large, multi-national, best in class team.  A team that provides abundant opportunities to learn, teach, mentor, and share top quality information.  A team that enables us to advocate, brainstorm, give back to our communities, meet, network and socialize with friends and colleagues all over the country and world.

Reflecting back I am proud of our Chapter’s successes over the last year, particularly in providing more opportunities for meaningful engagement of our members and introducing innovative programming formats and topics, and providing professional development and outreach opportunities.  In the year ahead, I know we will continue these initiatives, as well as adding programs for the different stages of your career, virtual programs and events held in collaboration with other chapters in our state and beyond.

As I write this last message I would like to take this opportunity to express my best wishes and sincere thanks to everyone, especially our Chapter Board of Directors and look forward to what the future brings for our Chapter under a new leader, Kimberly Tansey.

Thank you members for your continued participation and enthusiasm in our professional community, and for your incredible support and advice.  Wishing you a bright and successful 2022, and look forward to seeing you soon.

Mary Anne Weidner, President
