Message from THEF's President |
In addition to
providing our traditional education and networking events for 2015, our board’s
list of goals also included a follow-up day-long event as well as partnering
with new groups in our healthcare community.
Our day-long event
highlighting transformative care took place on September 17th at
Embassy Suites in Cary. We had three panels and moderators lined up to cover transformative
care partnerships in the community, with physicians, and in population health.
We are very grateful
for the financial support of our sponsors—LabCorp and Blue Cross Blue Shield of
NC, as well as our partners—North Carolina Association of Healthcare Quality. Also,
this event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our
THEF subcommittee members who worked for months to bring this idea to fruition—Cameron
Ebron and Robert Martin.
All chapter members
should have received an email from us regarding the opportunity to nominate for
THEF’s 2016 Board. If you’re interested,
please send an email to thefnc@gmail.com.
Fourth quarter is
always a busy time for THEF in hosting some great events, but it’s also the
time when we begin planning for the next year. Jessica Landin, president-elect
will be moving into the leadership role in January, and our chapter will be in great
and capable hands. In December, we will be hosting our board’s planning
retreat—an opportunity to get to know our new board members, build on successes
of previous years, and set goals for the year to come. Between now and early
December, I would encourage you to share any ideas you might have on programs
that you would like to see or areas for improvement that you think we need to
address.
Thank you for your
support of Triangle Healthcare Executives’ Forum, and since this will be my
last president’s letter before late December, I would like to wish you the
happiest of holiday seasons!
-Neil Kinard, FACHE
