Message from Your ACHE Regent

2016 is flying by.  This is my last year to serve as the Regent for North Carolina. I still have a lot I want to accomplish!  The last couple of years have been filled with learning, mentoring, networking and developing. It has truly been a pleasure to serve as your Regent. I have met wonderful people locally, statewide and nationally. My work with our HEN has been a very rewarding opportunity. All four chapters have been great collaborators with deeply dedicated leaders.  As a reminder, the Regent is an elected role. If you or someone you know is interested in serving, you must submit your letter of intent to ACHE: http://www.ache.org/newclub/ElectedLeadersArea/REGSERV/elec.cfm.

I want to insure you are aware of a tool offered by ACHE...CareerEDGE. In a recent ACHE communication it was stated "CareerEDGE is a complimentary career management tool created to give ACHE members a competitive edge by helping them develop a strategic plan for their career. Since its inception one year ago, nearly 2,000 members have used the tool to advance their career development. ACHE's Career Resource Center encourages you to help your organization stand out from the competition by using CareerEDGE to develop those you lead." I encourage you to check it out.

CareerEDGE and other helpful tools are available to you as a member. If you haven't visited the ACHE website recently, take some time to check out all there is to offer. Your ACHE is a valuable asset regardless of your career level.  However, it is only as valuable as you make it. Check out the website and give me some feedback. Let me or ACHE know how we can improve.

As always, feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Joann Anderson, FACHE
Regent for North Carolina
