Greetings, THEF Colleagues!
hope you had a wonderful summer and are beginning to enjoy fall festivities and
a wonderful 'Night at the Museum!' we had on September 12 at
the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh. Our time of networking was
remarkable! It is always a pleasure to meet new people at these events and
catch up with old friends and colleagues. I hope those of you who missed it
will join us next time. A special thanks to our event sponsors, Aerotek and Novo Nordisk.
is proud to partner with other healthcare leadership organizations to maximize
benefit to our collective members. On September 20, we partnered
with the NC Chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives
to present 'The Black Health Forum: Embracing Black Mental Wellness' at
UNC-Chapel Hill. Also on that day, the Advancement Committee kicked off the
Fall Board of Governors Exam Review Webinar Series in collaboration with the
Greater Charlotte Healthcare Executives’ Group.
September 25, we held our annual Transformational Care Summit at the Rizzo
Center in Chapel Hill. The topic was 'Facing a Changing Physician Leadership
Landscape'. The summit is THEF’s premier event each year, offering 6 hours of
ACHE Face-to-Face credit. Thank you to each of the panelists who shared their
time and expertise with us. Thank you also to our event Sponsors, Labcorp and
WorkFront. THEF programs would be much less successful without the support of
the summit, THEF held its annual membership meeting. Members were asked to vote
on the following revisions to our Bylaws:
1) Align the
mission and vision to ACHE
directors and committee chairs to be current members of THEF
all committees to submit a budget within 30 days following the start of the
electronic voting for approving future amendments to the bylaws
were cast and the revisions were adopted.

influence our future leaders. I am happy to report that our first annual Mentor
Program was quite successful. If you know of someone who might benefit from the
mentor program, please encourage them to take advantage of it in 2019.
