At the beginning of each year I typically review the goals that I’ve set for the previous year and evaluate my performance for both professional and personal goals. I also formulate and set new goals for the current year. I feel this is a good process to perform as it allows me to have something to work towards as well as to see if I am making progress in both my professional and personal life. I encourage you to do the same.
Often, there are successes to celebrate, and equally as often there are things that I either fall short in or need to continue to improve on. Whether it be learning how to ski, obtaining your fellow status in the ACHE, or graduating with your masters degree, I encourage you to set some goals and then identify those steps that will allow you to accomplish them.
With respect to obtaining your Fellow Credential with the ACHE, Utah Healthcare Executives (UHE) is well-positioned to help you achieve this goal. We offer 15 face-to-face credits annually that will assist you in meeting the education requirements. We can provide you an ability to serve by way of volunteering on a committee of the UHE Board. We will even plan and offer Fellow advancement preparation sessions for those getting ready to study for the board exam. One of our main goals at the UHE is to provide you with education and networking resources that will be valuable to your career (and may ultimately assist in the accomplishment of your professional goals).
We will be sending out an updated event to calendar to all UHE membership so that you can plan to participate in our events in 2019. If you want to learn more about earning your Fellow credential or volunteering on a UHE committee, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get in contact with you.
I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and in some measure helping you achieve the professional development goals you set for yourself in 2019!
