Leading for Change: Creating a Humanistic Approach for Patient, Family and Staff Engagement

SEMINAR DETAILS

Discover practical methods for building a patient, family and staff-centered culture.

This seminar provides a unique opportunity for healthcare executives to build the leadership skills and knowledge needed to address patient-experience initiatives in their organizations. Through a series of simulations, case studies, interactive exercises and discussions, participants will experience healthcare from the patient’s perspective. This timely, experiential seminar will explore the guiding principles impacting the patient experience and examine the leadership skills and focus areas needed to effect this cultural change.

Seminar Objectives:

  • Discover strategies and methods to put the human experience at the center of healthcare delivery.
  • Connect to the patient experience on both personal and humanistic levels.
  • Understand guiding principles important to the patient experience.
  • Identify the leadership competencies, skills and commitment necessary to affect this cultural change.

Diane Ball BSN, MSEd

Diane Ball is a consultant, trainer and group facilitator, currently working for the Baird Consulting Group in Ft. Atkinson, Wis. Her diverse background includes critical care nursing, cardiac rehab nursing, staff and patient education, complimentary therapies, business development, leadership and patient centered care. Ms. Ball was the patient-centered champion at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Ill., from 2005 to 2010 and successfully implemented the Planetree model of patient-centered care. She consulted for Planetree from 2010 to 2013.

Credit card payments may be made to the UHE Venmo account @utahhealthcareexecutives.

UHE reserves the right to retain 50% of the registration fee for any cancellation after September 13. A substitute may be sent in lieu of your cancellation. Registrations submitted after September 13, 2019 will be assessed a $50 late fee.

The Lodges at Deer Valley, near the base of Deer Valley Resort, offers a variety of family-friendly services on-site including The Brass Tag restaurant, fitness facility, concierge services, general store, coffee bar, outdoor heated pool and hot tub.  Lodges at Deer Valley is located at 2900 Deer Valley Drive East in Park City.
