“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” - African Proverb
As we face unprecedented challenges, specifically in healthcare, it is more important than ever to have a professional network to help all of us “go together.” The value of sharing experiences, insights, ideas and mutual support has been heightened by recent events, and the challenges remain.
Our Chapter is taking steps to adapt to the “new normal,” we’ll be working under for a while, in ways that have been detailed elsewhere in this newsletter, but all of that can’t happen without you – our Members. With the priorities and challenges we’ve all be coping with the past few months, renewing your ACHE membership might not have made it to the top of your to-do list. If you still need to renew, please take a moment in the next few days to take care of that.
For those who are considering membership, go to www.ache.org to apply for membership in the category that makes sense for you. There you can find details, fees, applications and everything else you need to become a Member. (When you join ACHE, you automatically become a Member of the Western Florida Chapter, if your address is in our geographic territory… no additional fee.)
And for those Members who are interested and eligible for the Board of Governor’s Exam to earn the FACHE credential, we are meeting in the next couple of weeks to agree on dates for the Exam Prep course and exactly how that will work.
Let us know if there are any questions we can answer about your membership by emailing Paul Grossman, Membership chair, Western Florida Chapter ACHE at Paul@PLGExperienceSolutions.com. Take care and stay safe.
