President's Message

Dear Colleagues,

I am thrilled to have met so many of you at our third Annual Conference, which was held Sept. 18-20 at the beautiful Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake. Attendees of the conference were able to earn 12 Face to Face credits and heard from a variety of expert panelists and speakers who shared their insights and best practices related to topics ranging from disruptive technology to building a talented work force. We also heard from our colleagues at the Wisconsin Hospital Association and honored three very deserving awardees of Regent awards. Be sure to check out the photos from the event on our website!  I was also proud to share the many successes of our Chapter over the past year, and to thank the countless volunteers who gave of their time and talents in support of Chapter initiatives.

Some highlights from 2017:

·        Held 3rd Annual Conference, with an increase in attendance by 15% over 2016

·        Offered 23 Face-to-Face and Qualified credit events/programs

·        Hosting three local networking events (2 in Madison, 1 in Milwaukee, and 1 in La Crosse)

·        Presenting two webinars (Register online!)

·        Conducting the 8th year of the ACHE-WI Leadership Development Program

·        Enhanced communication to members, marketing of events, strategic planning support, and improved membership service through our partnership with Badger Bay Management Company

·        ACHE-WI programming recognized by ACHE with best practices shared with ACHE Chapter leaders nationwide

Please mark your calendars for next year’s meeting: September 17-19, 2018, once again at The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake.

I’d also like to recognize new members and congratulate members who advanced to Fellow status from our Chapter. Welcome and congratulations!  Please feel free to reach out to fellow members or the Board to get involved – contacts are listed within our web pages.

In closing, thank you for the hard work you are doing in your organizations. Being a health care leader during times of accelerated change and uncertainty is often difficult and unsettling. Here in Wisconsin, we have a lot to be proud of in the quality of care we deliver and in the partnerships and collaborations we are building to better serve our patients and communities.

Get Connected! Stay Informed! Position for Success!
