Message from Your ACHE Regent - Fall 2019
Message from Your ACHE Regent
Fall 2019

This fall I give thanks to each of you as healthcare leaders in our profession leading our organizations every day of the year. Each of us face challenges each day, yet some of us face things that hit the front pages of our papers and local broadcasts. I am reminded that at any time, any one of us can face organizational or personal difficulty.

It is in these times that we need to come together, work with trusted colleagues, and support our fellow leaders. Whether it is a colleague leading their organization through a crisis, a reduction in force, or other personal challenge, we have all been there or are in a position to help someone else. If you are asked by a colleague for advice, do you take the time to respond or assist them? I challenge each of us in the next quarter to help one fellow leader. Review a resume, meet someone for coffee, or answer that call. I bet you will be glad you did! Within our ACHE community there is always someone who has made it through the exact situation you face.

As we head into the holiday season now is the time to renew our dues, register for Congress on Healthcare Leadership, and consider the Fund for Healthcare Leadership. Please join me in contributing to support important initiatives such as scholarships for the Senior Executive and Executive Programs and the Thomas C. Dolan Executive Diversity Program. Visit ache.org/Fund to make a donation.

I look forward to seeing you at our events in 2020 and hope you take time to reflect on your personal growth and success this year.

Serving leaders who care,

Andrea Z. Turner, FACHE
