Infrastructure Stakeholders Urge Leaders Back to the Table
AGC Joins National Trade Associations in Calling for Gas Tax Increase

On June 14, AGC joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a coalition of national business and labor groups in expressing disappointment that the May 22 meeting between President Trump and Congressional Democrats to discuss infrastructure investment solutions did not result in a substantive conversation. The letter goes on to urge Congress to consider raising the federal gas tax as a solution to solving our nation’s surface transportation infrastructure needs and warns of the consequence of inaction – cutting states infrastructure funds. AGC and our coalition partners will continue to urge the President and Congressional Democrats to come back to the table and enact a bipartisan infrastructure bill this year. Read More

GBCA’s CLC brings young construction leaders to construction projects that are making an impact in Philadelphia.

On May 23, General Building Contractors Association’s Construction Leadership Council hosted a Hard Hat Tour of Fashion District Philadelphia (FDP). New ConsensusDocs Design-Assist Guidebook
The ConsensusDocs Coalition just released a new Guidebook for the ConsensusDocs 541 Standard Design-Assist Addendum. The Guidebook provides users’ tools and commentary to modify the standard design-assist contract document for their specific project. As the first industry standard contract for design-assist, the commentary is important new resource and includes a responsibility matrix to align collaboration among the lead design professional, CM and trade contractors.
