AGC Audio Conference Planned to Help Contractors Survive Environmental Inspections
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Justice have initiated national enforcement actions against certain sectors of the construction industry and stormwater enforcement is a significant priority. Sign up now for AGC’s Nov. 29th audio conference and make sure you are ready for that dreaded day when an inspector knocks on your door.
EPA, state environmental agencies, and local government authorities routinely conduct “surprise” inspections to assess compliance with environmental laws, such as stormwater runoff requirements. In addition, complaints from neighbors and employees can trigger an unannounced visit. Register for AGC’s audio conference, titled Environmental Enforcement Crackdown: Inspection Survival for Contractors, to learn—
- How can you prepare for an inspection?
- What happens during an inspection?
- What should you expect after the inspection?
This audio conference is scheduled for Thursday, November 29, 2007, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM (Eastern Time). Speakers include attorney Jeffrey Longsworth of Barnes & Thornburg’s Washington, DC office—who currently represents AGC of America in federal environmental matters related to construction stomwater runoff.
