AGC ENCOURAGES SENATE LAWMAKERS TO SUPPORT CLEAN WATER SRF
House Appropriators are looking to cut $500 million dollars from the Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund in the next fiscal year.

Senate Appropriators favor maintaining existing funding levels.  AGC legislative staff visited the Capitol Hill offices of every US Senator last Friday attempting to get signatures from Senators on a letter demonstrating support for the higher Senate figures.  To date, twenty-five Senators have signed on with more signatures anticipated.  This support will mean a lot, not only for wastewater infrastructure funding, but for jobs and to help maintain environmental advances gained since the inception of the Clean Water Act.  For more information, contact Stu Megaw at 703/837-5321 or megaws@agc.org.
