AGC URGES MEMBER SUPPORT FOR CLEAN WATER AMERICA

  LEGISLATIVE ACTION ALERT
House Water Resources and Environment Chairman John J. Duncan Jr. has introduced legislation HR 4560 to create a Clean Water Trust Fund to  finance water infrastructure improvements.

HR 4560 would create a Clean Water Trust Fund to  finance water infrastructure improvements with particular improvements and upgrades to wastewater treatment facilities. Patterned after the federal  highway and aviation trust funds, it “provides an assured source of funding to help the nation meet its water infrastructure needs,” Duncan said.  AGC and our partners in the Water Infrastructure Network have expressed strong support for Duncan’s bill, noting it would provide nearly $38 billion over  five years to address America’s growing water infrastructure crisis.
