Tell the Census Bureau What You Think—Review Collection Forms for the Value of Construction Put in Place
The Census Bureau wants to know what contractors think of its Form C-700, which it uses to gather information on the value of construction put in place. Specifically, Census wants comments on: whether the collection of information is necessary; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information collected; and ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on respondents.
Click on C-700(SL) to view the Construction Project Report (State and Local Governments).
Click on C-700(P) to view the Construction Project Report (Private Construction Projects).
Click on C-700(R) to view the Construction Project Report (Multi-family Residential).
Under the Paperwork Reduction Act, all agencies that ask the public for information must seek approval from the Office of Management and Budget for all of the items they ask about and the instructions. Your comments can actually make a difference in how much paperwork you face!
Census rotates the distribution of the forms among contractors, so even if you have not had to fill out Form C-700 in the past, you may receive it soon. Please send comments by January 5, either to AGC Chief Economist Ken Simonson at simonsonk@agc.org, who will forward them to Census, or directly to:
