AGC AND EDPI WORK TO IMPROVE ONE-CALL PROGRAMS NATIONWIDE

AGC recently participated in a two-day meeting with pipeline interests to arrive at consensus on recommendations to the US DOT Pipelines and Hazardous Materials Administration (PHMSA) on aspects of a successful one-call program.

PHMSA is trying to guide states on how to incorporate components outlined in the recent reauthorization of the Pipeline Safety Act into their one-call programs and to qualify them for federal grants.  AGC joined the Excavation Damage Prevention Initiative (EDPI) as a founder and has supported incorporating Common Ground Alliance (CGA) Best Practices which have been matched up with the draft recommendations.
