Staffing Change Announcement in Municipal & Utilities Division

New Director for M&U Division Announced

I want to let my friends in AGC and the M&U Division know how pleased and proud I am to have worked with you and for you for the past thirteen years.  I will be leaving AGC in July and I am looking forward to seeing how my successor Mr. Perry L. Fowler takes the Division to a new level.  Perry is transitioning over from  the AGC Federal & Heavy Division and has been with AGC since 2004.

I am particularly proud of the work that we have done in the arena of worker and public safety and damage prevention achieved through our relationship with the Common Ground Alliance.  After decades of being the target of blame whenever an incident occurs, all project stakeholders are now subject to the scrutiny once reserved for the contractor.  We now sit down and work out problems where once we pointed fingers.

The most important result of this work is the number of workers who went home after their shift who would have been injured or killed were it not for these ongoing efforts.  We will never know how many lives have been saved because of the work of AGC activists in concert with other CGA stakeholders.  Thank you to AGC for a remarkable ride with remarkable companions.

I wish my coworkers, AGC chapters and most importantly the members all the best in your future endeavors.  I will miss you all.
