Check Out the New Video Promoting AGC's E&R Foundation!

Earlier this year AGC of Greater Milwaukee hosted AGC of America's Andrew Burke, Director of Multimedia Communication, to help us put together videos promoting AGC of Greater Milwaukee services and initiatives.

We are very proud to share the first video in this series promoting our Education and Research (E&R) Foundation.

The objective of the series of videos is to show AGC’s scope of work, AGC’s commitment to the advancement and growth of the Construction Industry, and how becoming a member of AGC can enhance General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Industry Service Providers' businesses.

The AGC of Greater Milwaukee's E&R Foundation was founded as a philanthropic organization in the 1970’s to promote construction industry education and research efforts. Since it was established, the E&R Foundation Board of Directors has awarded over $1 million in grants and scholarships to local schools and universities throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Additionally, the E&R Foundation provides research and development funding for initiatives related to the well-being and advancement of the construction industry.

We hope you enjoy this video on the AGC E&R Foundation and will share with your co-wokers and industry partners.

Education & Research (E&R) Foundation Provides $15,000 Grant to ACE Mentorship Program's Milwaukee Chapter

The AGC’s E&R Foundation Board (Rupert Kotze - Kotze Construction Co., Rick Schmidt - CG Schmidt, Jim Parks - Berghammer Construction Corporation, Steve Freckmann - Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, Inc., Mike Fabishak - AGC and Ben Bergles - VJS Construction Services) unanimously approved$15,000 to fund the operating expenses and an AGC Scholarship to the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE) Milwaukee program.

The ACE Mentor Program of America, Inc. helps mentor high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction. Their mission is to engage, excite and enlighten high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and construction through mentoring and to support their continued advancement in the industry.

Thanks to ACE Mentor Program of Milwaukee, High school students in the Milwaukee area can now benefit from a nationwide program designed to introduce them to the wide range of career opportunities open to young people in architecture, construction, engineering, and related areas of the building design and construction industry. At weekly meetings, student teams work directly with professionals from leading area firms, who volunteer their time to mentor the teams as they design hypothetical projects, tour local construction sites, and visit architectural, engineering and construction offices.

Learn More about the ACE Mentor Program of Milwaukee here.

The AGC Education & Research Foundation was founded as a philanthropic organization in the 1970’s to promote construction industry education and research efforts. Another great CLC Golf Outing in the books! Thank you to our many generous sponsors and everyone who was a part of our record breaking crowd of nearly 200 golfers! Thanks to your support and generosity, we were able to enjoy another successful fundraising event for the AGC Education and Research Foundation.

During their round of golf, attendees had the opportunity to participate in our Hole Competitions, Yellow Ball Contest and grab some drinks and cigars from one of our many hole sponsors. Along with all the fun on the course, participants were able to buy raffle ticket to win prizes ranging from an electric smoker to a new Titleist wedge, enjoy some live music and witness our inaugural Helicopter Ball Drop!

Thank you to everyone who attended and sponsored this event. Your generosity helps support scholarships that benefit students at MSOE, Marquette University, and UWM.
