  Construction Executive Salaries Up 5%

The average salary increase given to construction-industry executives in 2006 was 5.0 percent, according to the latest report from PAS, Inc.  This compares with an average increase of 4.4 percent in 2005 and 4.2 percent in 2004.  Due to “the quickening of construction activity,” PAS anticipates the average increase to be about 5.5 percent in 2007.

The following table shows the average base salary for benchmark positions paid in 2006 and anticipated in 2007, as reported by PAS:
