Save the Date for Audio Conference on Overtime Exemptions
On August 23, starting at 2:00 p.m. EDT, AGC of America will hold a 90-minute audio conference called “Exempt or Non-Exempt?  Applying the FLSA’s White Collar Rules in the Construction Industry.”

Construction employers have long been confused about compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act’s overtime and minimum wage exemption regulations, and the 2004 revisions to the regulations have not helped much.  Moreover, violations of these regulations can be extremely costly, with collective actions becoming more and more common.  This audio conference will go over the rules and help employers apply them in a construction-employment context, focusing on the particular job classifications most troublesome for construction employers.  Time will be provided for questions and answers.

Registration is not yet available but will be soon.  Click here to check the AGC web site for more information when ready and to find out about other upcoming audio conferences. [ return to top ]
