AGC's 90th Annual Convention/Constructor Expo is Just Around the Corner - Are You Ready?
AGC's annual convention is just around the corner – March 4-7 in sunny San Diego – and we look forward to seeing you there. Our efforts to build a better construction industry will take center stage once again when we tackle work force issues, share the latest innovations, and get the most up-to-date information about the economic landscape for 2009.

If you haven't already registered, there's still time.  Visit our convention website and register today!

If you've already registered, then we've got something special for you.  This year, we're making it even easier for you to plan your trip, organize your agenda and make the most out of your time.

The Workforce Development, Open Shop, and Union Contractors Committees will jointly present a Best Practices in Craft Training forum on March 4.  This session will help you build a better craft training program by giving you insight into others’ successes – whether you operate on a union or open-shop basis.  It will feature presentations on the United Brotherhood of Carpenters training program and the San Diego Chapter AGC’s open-shop apprenticeship program, as well as a facilitated roundtable discussion for attendees to share craft training best practices from around the country.

Throughout the day on March 5, we’re holding an exciting new event – a Federal Forum, that will help you build your relationships federal owners and federal regulators.  Not just for federal contractors, the forum will include several agencies that administer or enforce employment laws, including:  the Department of Labor’s Davis-Bacon enforcement team, OSHA, and OFCCP, as well as the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) and Immigration & Enforcement (ICE).  Each agency will have a 30-minute time slot to make a presentation and take questions to help you understand what they do, and vice-versa. Table-top exhibits offering additional information will be available throughout the day.

Don’t miss out on these and the many other networking and educational opportunities offered.  Join us in San Diego! [ return to top ]
