Construction Career Academy Brochure
A free resource for AGC Chapters and members

Within the next few weeks, AGC of America’s brochure on construction career academies will be available to all chapter staff and members who would like a way to help persuade educators, school administrators, parents, teachers and the construction industry to support and implement new academies.

This four-page brochure will be made available free of charge to AGC chapters and members as part of AGC’s Department of Labor grant that encourages career academies as a way to address the shortage of workers at all levels in the construction industry. A career academy provides an integrated curriculum that both provides students with hands-on learning opportunities and a rigorous academic core that prepares them to enter the workforce or to continue their education at an apprenticeship program, two- or four-year college or university.

A pdf version will be available at AGC’s website at www.agcconstructioncareeracademies.org. This site also will be home to information on construction career academies, including standards, contacts at current construction academies, links to websites, and more.

For questions or to request copies of the brochure, please contact Liz Elvin at elvinl@agc.org.
