AGC Develops Curriculum for New Project Managers

AGC is excited to announce that development of a new curriculum for project managers is underway. The curriculum will be a valuable resource to the construction industry including, AGC Chapters, individual construction firms, colleges and others.

The AGC Project Management Curriculum will include the titles Estimating and Job Costing, Contract Administration, Project Administration, Risk Management and Leadership. Each of the five modules will deliver 16 hours of instruction and will include an instructor’s guide and participant’s manual.

The Curriculum is intended to introduce and reinforce the concepts and terminology of project management to beginning project managers and those with one to five years of experience. It will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of construction project managers, provide instruction on the art and the science of project management and provide professional development opportunities for construction project mangers.

This curriculum will be available in the Spring of 2008. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. Please contact Amy Fields with questions at 703/837-5360 or fieldsa@agc.org.
