AGC of America Seeks Support for National Careers in Construction Week
Help bring public attention to exciting careers available in construction

AGC is requesting help from its chapters and members nationwide to support the National Careers in Construction Week, to be celebrated October 15-19. We are specifically looking for members and chapters to host events and request a proclamation from their governor. Last year 32 governors proclaimed “Careers in Construction Week” in their state. The goal this year is 35 states.

National Careers in Construction Week is an annual event sponsored by the National Center for Construction Education and Research and communities across the U.S. to bring public attention to the exciting careers available in construction.

More information about the National Careers in Construction Week, including sample proclamations and tips for requesting one are available at: http://careers.nccer.org/cicWeek.htm

For more information about AGC’s involvement in this effort, please contact Liz Elvin, director of workforce development at 703-837-5389 or elvinl@agc.org.
