AHRI Members Encouraged to Join the Manufacturing Day Mission
Manufacturing Day will be observed October 4, to introduce modern manufacturing careers to students, parents, teachers, and community leaders across the nation. The annual event, held on the first Friday of October, was created by the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association International in 2012 and is heavily supported by National Association of Manufacturers, the Manufacturing Institute, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

AHRI encourages members to consider hosting an event that will help attract the talent needed to address the industry’s skills shortage. An estimated 275,000 people participated in over 3,000 Manufacturing Day events in 2018. Registration and updates, including access to resources, are available onMFGDay.com, and those interested in sponsorship opportunities may email SponsorMFGDay@nam.org. Contact: Monica Cardenas.

Have You Joined AHRI Connect Yet?

AHRI Connect is the primary communications tool for AHRI members. Any members involved in AHRI committees, working groups, or members who want to stay informed about AHRI’s activities must log into Connect, and establish their product interests. Members may login now and set up a profile, including product interests. New working groups are now announced exclusively via AHRI Connect, based on the product interests indicated in members’ profiles.

Communities for AHRI’s standing committees will be established on AHRI Connect over the next several weeks. This applies to all standing committees, except for the Board of Directors, Rees Foundation, and the Audit, Nominating, Budget and Investment, and Compensation Committees. Members of affected committees will be notified about the new communities. Please contact your committee executive assistant if you have any questions.

To ensure you receive messages from Connect, ask your IT department to whitelist the @connectedcommunity.org domain in email servers and add mail@connectedcommunity.org and donotreply@connectedcommunity.org to approved senders list. Contact: Monica Cardenas.
