AICP SCHOLARSHIP PAVES THE WAY FOR VCU STUDENTS

Since 2005, the AICP has partnered with the Virginia Commonwealth University Brandcenter (formerly the AdCenter) to give aspiring advertisers the opportunity to hone their talents and start their paths to a successful future in the industry. The AICP Scholarship Fund has provided student aid to over 70 current and former program participants throughout the years. LETTER OF THE LAW
PRIVATE SECTOR BRIBERY
Robert L. Sacks
Terms such as “bribing” and “bribe receiving” usually evoke the work of the 19th century political cartoonist Thomas Nast who was famous for his depiction of portly, cigar puffing Tamanny Hall bosses carting away bags of bribe money bestowed by constituents and favor seekers.  Although such activity has been well publicized in the public sector for decades there are parallel crimes of commercial bribery in private business.  Over 20 states, including New York and California, have laws that make it a crime to give and receive commercial bribes with attendant fines and in some cases imprisonment.

FRENCH KISSES
Liz Myers

Chers Thomas et Michel,

This is an open love letter to you both in return for your recent amorous epistle The Artist, which you said was a “love letter to American cinema” at the Producers Guild Awards where you took home top prize. Why is it that the French are always teaching Americans the Ways of Love?  Read More
