The inaugural AICP Veterans Job Seminar took place at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood on November
14, with 28 Veterans and 18 member company representatives in attendance. Harvest’s Bonnie Goldfarb, Co-Chair of
the AICP Care Committee, introduced the event including an overview of the AICP
Veterans Fellowship Program. Amy DeLossa, Head of Production at Tool, provided a production primer for
the attending Veterans, which was followed by a “speed interviewing” session
that was exhausting yet highly rewarding for all.
Based on the feedback from both members and applicants, the event was a
huge success. One AICP member remarked that the opportunity to meet applicants
in person, knowing their commitment to our country, was a life-altering
“It’s been an honor and pleasure recruiting candidates for
the Association of Independent Commercial Producer’s paid fellowship program. A
lot of people say they support veterans, but rarely does any organization stand
up for them as AICP has. Every step of the way, the AICP and its affiliated
production companies have extended an extraordinary effort to treat veterans
with the utmost respect, and provide them with real career opportunities,” said Jeff Norman, Executive Director of
The Veterans Project.
