AICP Base Camp is the central gathering place for AICP Week guests. Attendees with AICP Week passes or tickets to the AICP Next Awards or AICP Show are welcome at the Base Camp June 5th to 7th to attend a series of industry-relevant discussions, charge up devices, grab a snack or beverage, and experience the AICP Next Awards Virtual Reality Shortlist. Tickets and passes can also be picked up at the Base Camp.  The Base Camp Schedule is being updated daily with the addition of new panelists.  Stay tuned to aicp.com for further details and developments.

After almost 200 of the industry’s best and brightest poured through the work submitted by entrants, the AICP Next Awards Jury Presidents and Curators at large discussed and debated the reults to come upon the winners of this year’s Next Awards which will be unveiled at that evening. A sneak peak into the decision-making process behind what went into this year’s Next Awards, and some true revalation about the state of the industry.

The creative minds behind this year’s winning campaigns will examine the current landscape and future of integrated campaigns as well as provide a look inside their winning work in advance of their presentations at that evening’s AICP Next Awards.

If you’re in a hurry to produce polished-looking commercials or branded content, stock footage can be your best friend. In this panel, agency creative executives and art buyers join Jon Parker, brand director of Dissolve, to discuss how to create compelling, effective video and digital content when time and budgets are tight. It’s no secret that commercial production is facing a growing array of new competitive challenges from all over the advertising ecosystem as a result of a rapid change in advertising formats. Back in the “good old days”, commercials were shot by production companies, worked on for many weeks with proper budgets and aired on television. Today, branded content can be shot on an iPhone by a “trending” 18-year-old and fed immediately for next to nothing to her millions of fans on YouTube. Now more than ever, the ability to reinvent yourself is a requirement, not a luxury. The new rules have not yet been written, but many companies are actively reinventing themselves and setting the new foundation. In the spirit of this reinvention, we asked 3 creative risk-takers to come and share their experiences with us followed by a Q&A for those attending.
