New LUMBERYARD Studios in the Hudson Valley - Ready For the Commercial Production Community

LUMBERYARD Studios, one of the newest AICP members with a newly designed, purpose-built production facility located in Catskill, NY, campus – is taking commercial production bookings (the facility will open in early fall 2018). The first facility in New York’s Greene County to be designated by Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Office of Motion Picture & Television Development as a New York Qualified Production Facility (QPF), LUMBERYARD Studios will be joining the mid-Hudson Valley’s growing film community. The studio will be a destination for filmmakers, production companies, and the motion picture industry looking to take advantage of New York’s highly-competitive Film Tax Credit Program, which currently offers as much as 40% break on labor (45% on post) for production taking place Upstate.

The space also features 13 rooms for onsite lodging for up to 25 people, as well as flexible office space, kitchen, lounging area, wardrobe room, laundry room, silent air conditioning, loading docks, elevator, ADA accessibility, and ample parking. The surrounding area offers picturesque sites including mountains, streams, rivers, historic homes, small-town settings, and other bucolic spaces.

LUMBERYARD Studios is a unique social impact model. Offering competitive rates and a 40%-45% tax incentive, LUMBERYARD Studios reinvests 100% of its proceeds into the performing arts community and community development, helping artists create the work they imagine.
