| Melaniphy Takes Helm at APTA |
|
Michael P. Melaniphy is now officially on board as president and chief executive officer of APTA, effective Nov. 1, 2011.
Previously, Melaniphy was vice president, public sector, Motor Coach Industries Inc. He has led public transit systems in Charlotte, NC; Wichita, KS; Hamilton, OH; and Laredo, TX.
He was unanimously approved by the APTA Board of Directors in July after an extensive search that included more than 180 candidates. |
